What Is The 8 Trill Fund?
Black entrepreneurs need to thrive in the craft beer ecosystem focusing on areas in business finances, growth, education, development and sustainability. The fund programing is intended to demonstrate that with investment (capital and resources) in Black-owned businesses, the entire country stands to realize the social and fiscal impact of Racial Equity.
The 8 Trill Fund is a program that provides capital and resource investments for Black-owned craft beer businesses to support business development, growth and sustainability. The grants created from the 8 Trill Fund allow for immediate sponsorships, financial support for costly resources and are primarily focused on ensuring that capital is distributed in ways that impact the success and sustainability of Black owned breweries in the US.
The 8 Trill Fund is awarded annually to 5 Black-Owned craft beer businesses.
8 TRILL GRANTEES

Black owned brewing companies and vendors who are majority stakeholders in the business (2020 qualifying guidelines)
Must be a legal resident of the 48 contagious United States
Non-Brewing industry recipients are eligible based on collaborator initiatives that are aligned with achieving racial equity in the following 2 verticals:
Entrepreneurship & Employment
Education

Grantees must commit to enriching future 8 Trill candidates through the 8 Trill Initiative or organizations focused on achieving racial equity in they’re region
8 Trill Fund 2020 Recipients
In 2020, the “8 Trill Fund” was launched in partnership with Brewdog and awarded a total of $100,000 to (5) Black owned craft beer businesses.
Having access to capital or networks that have capital in addition to being prepared to receive capital investment is critical for the success of a small business.
