"Working with Beny and Teo through 8Trill is amazing on many levels but none more so than the opportunity to focus on increasing the number of Black-owned breweries. Entrepreneurs see opportunity where they see themselves. The more people see Beny & Teo, the more exposure they have to the work in their community at home in Inglewood, CA and across this country, the more they taste their amazing beers, understand their vision and understand that craft brewing is an industry that welcomes them, the closer we will step towards racial equality in this industry. To top it all off, we collaborated on an amazing beer that brought joy and liquid sunshine to our respective customers."

Matt Lincecum, Fremont Brewing Company

"We have huge admiration for Beny and Teo’s passion and commitment—not just for brewing outstanding beer, but for building community and for civic engagement. We're proud to be a founding member of 8 Trillion Allies, and look forward to working together with them to achieve more racial equity in craft beer."

Rob Tod, Founder/Brewer, Allagash Brewing Company

Be An Eight Trillion Allies Collaborator

Collaborators are independent breweries, brewing organizations, or craft beer brands that collaborate with Black-owned breweries (existing and/or in planning) under the Eight Trillion Allies Collaboration Series banner. The goal of the series is to set a new, more meaningful standard for what it means to collaborate with Black beer brands.

Under the Eight Trillion Allies' umbrella, Collaborators will:

  • Contribute all or a portion of the collaboration proceeds to the 8 Trill Fund

  • Provide mentorship to Black-owned breweries for best business practices

  • Focus on achieving racial equity in their respective regions or nationally

  • Commit to enriching future 8 Trill candidates and grantees through the 8 Trill Initiative nonprofit

Contributors are national or global organizations (inside and outside of the beer industry) that understand the importance of accomplishing racial equity and the impact that it would make on this country. Contributors impact racial equity on a national scale without a beer collaboration by providing capital, resources, and industry knowledge for Black-owned breweries in the U.S. through the 8 Trill Fund.
